MY50 Terms and Conditions

Thank you for your interest in purchasing a vintage motorcycle through MY50. By confirming your purchase, you confirm that you have read and understood our terms and conditions of purchase. Please see our full terms and conditions below. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask as many questions as you need to.

Bikes being bought via auction proxy bid

  • Buyers must ensure the auction number and the bidding price are correct.
    MY50 will not take any responsibility for errors made by the buyer with the auction number or bidding price.
  • All Bids are FOB unless otherwise previously agreed between MY50 & the buyer.
  • All Vehicles or Bikes purchased through the MY50 are on a “AS IS” basis.
  • MY50 will not accept any claims due to bikes bought not being in the condition expected. It is your responsibility to understand what you are buying. Ask questions and ask for as many photos / or videos as you need but once you purchase the bike you confirm that you are buying the bike “As is where is”
  • Claims will NOT be accepted for any Bikes that are Ranked 0, or 1, or NOT Ranked.
  • All Claims for any product bought through MY50 must be made within 5 calendar Day following Date of Purchase.
  • Any Claims for any product bought through MY regarding packing or damage occurring in a container must be made within 5 calendar Days following Date of unloading.
  • If requested by the Buyer, MY50 will inspect the Vehicle or Bike and give the Buyer feedback/Advise prior to bidding on the Vehicle or Bike.
  • If more than one Bid is received for the same Unit and that Unit is purchased the Unit will go to the Highest Bidder.
  • MY50 will try to keep BUYER informed of current BIDs on the Vehicle or Bike.
  • All BIDS are final unless the BUYER alters the BID with MY50 Prior to BIDDING.
  • In the event that for whatever reason the BUYER wishes to cancel the Purchase of the Unit after MY50 has bought the Unit, a request to Spectrum must be received within 1 week of Purchase and the Buyer will be responsible to pay a cancellation fee for each Bike or vehicle, plus any losses incurred on the resale of the unit. please contact Spectrum for Details of the Current Cancellation Fees.
  • Customer-bought Bikes or Vehicles are subject to a Japan Side Storage charge on a per unit per week basis.
    Please contact MY50 regarding the current Storage charges.
  • Registration – All bikes need to be inspected by a verified inspector before being put on the road. Unless the bike comes with a current registration certificate it is not road legal.
  • Please understand and ensure that you follow the correct procedures for registering imported motor vehicles/motorcycles into your country.
  • All bidding prices are settled FOB and exclude banks charges.
  • Additional charges include but are not limited to Shipping, Taxes, and Port Charges please ensure you understand the total costs of your purchase before bidding.
  • Prices may fluctuate due to rates of exchange, and inflation costs.
  • Shipping happens as fast as we fill the container. This time period can not be guaranteed. Shipping will happen when MY50 deems the container to be full enough to be viable to ship. We can not guarantee any timelines.
  • No vehicles or parts will be released without full payment.
  • Collection of bikes from the port once they have cleared customs will be the responsibility of the purchaser.
  • Please make sure you understand and abide by all health and safety regulations at all times. MY50 is exempt from any loss or damage of any kind during the shipping and collection process of bikes and spares. 
  • Please ensure you have your own insurance for damages that may occur to your vehicle during shipping. MY50 acts as an agent only and will not be responsible for any damages during transportation or storage. Once you have been successful in your bid all risk and reward are transferred to the purchaser.

Bikes purchased direct from MY50 in New Zealand

  • Buyers must ensure they fully understand the condition of the bike they are buying.
    MY50 will not take any responsibility for errors made by the buyer with regard to the condition. The bikes we sell are vintage and used and as such no one bike is the same.
  • All Vehicles or Bikes purchased through the MY50 are on an “AS IS” basis.
  • MY50 will not accept any claims due to the bikes bought not being in the condition expected. It is your responsibility to understand what you are buying. Ask questions and ask for as many photos / or videos as you need but once you purchase the bike, you confirm that you are buying the bike “As is where is”
  • All claims for any product bought through MY50 must be made within 5 calendar days following the date of purchase.
  • If requested by the buyer, MY50 will inspect the bike and give the buyer feedback/advice prior to buying the bike.
  • If more than one bid is received for the same bike and the bike is purchased the bike will go to the highest bid.
  • MY50 will try to keep the buyer informed about all defects within our knowledge for the bike but cannot guarantee that we have not missed anything.
  • All purchases are final.
  • In the event that for whatever reason the buyer wishes to cancel the purchase of the bike the buyer will only be refunded once the bike has been sold to another buyer. There will be a $75.00 admin fee deducted.
  • MY50 offers 1 week free storage after purchase. Any bikes not collected within that week will be charged $30 per week or part thereof for storage.
    Please contact MY50 regarding the current storage charges and availability.
  • Registration – All bikes need to be inspected by a verified inspector before being put on the road. Unless the bike comes with a current registration certificate it is not road legal in New Zealand!
  • Please understand and ensure that you follow the correct procedures for registering imported motor vehicles/motorcycles in New Zealand.
  • All bikes entering New Zealand need to undergo an inspection to verify the bike before it can be registered. This can be done at your local inspection office. EG VINZ ( vehicle Inspection New Zealand)
  • Unless sold with a current rego it is the responsibility of the buyer to understand the registration process to legally put the bike on the roads in New Zealand. Please visit NZTA – https://www.nzta.govt.nz/vehicles/importing-a-vehicle/step-2-evidence/used-vehicles-from-japan/
  • De-Registration papers will be supplied for the bike you purchased in order to complete the inspection process so that you can legally register your bike.
