Tommy Mondello's achievement
Achievement name
Move the earth and crush things with the touch of my fingertips while driving in a bulldozer...
Achievement description
I was always into construction and trucks when I was a kid... how I never became a construction lunatic guy is way beyond me... I should've been hooked from that time I sat in a dumptruck while it was getting loaded up with tons of dirt... the whole truck just rocked back and fourth... it was so awesome!
Completion description
I got the chance to drive a bulldozer when my neighbor bought up some property behind his house and wanted to construct a tennis court. So he went and rented a mutha f'ing bulldozer... cool! It wasn't one of those kingsized gigantic monsters... but it was a dozer none the less! He said... "Tom... jump up and start clearing out over there!"... No instruction or anything... he just said "GO!".... Fuck Yeah!!!
It was simply amazing the power that this thing had! You just have to experience it once!
My other time on a dozer was when I was dumping some trash at the Staten Island landfill (when it was still open)... I was standing in the back of the pickup throwing shit out the back when I spotted the largest... mutha f'ing bulldozer I have ever seen! It just happened to be my 30th birthday on that day... and so I walked out into the landfill where the huge monster was toying with the rubble and got the drivers attention. I explained that it was my birthday... and that it would be an awesome gift to get a ride on the beast! He looked around... then waved me on! I climbed up the tracks to the top and sqeezed in... introduced myself... then he goes... "Ok kid... pick something out and lets go crush it!!!".... oh yeah!!! For the next half hour... we crushed... ran over... pummeled EVERYTHING I pointed to and that was within our reach... needless to say... it was a very cool birthday! And then the topper was that my wife threw me a 30th surprise party!!! Sometimes your life is just so blessed with perfection... that you don't even realize it! Keep your eyes open!!!! Later... tommy
