Axl Rose said it best when he sang... "I bought me an illusion... and I put it on the wall. I let it fill my head with dreams... and I had to have them ALL!!! How fucking awesome is that lyric!!!! I'm in the process of looking for something as I type this out! It doesn't have to be a famous piece either... or from a well-known artist... it doesn't really have to be an actual piece of artwork either... a photo... poster... drawing... even a copy of the artwork or print will do the trick! The ONLY thing that matters is the emotions that "it" stirs in me... an expensive piece of artwork from a famous artist means SHIT... if it doesn't move your heart into action!!! I have several in mind... but still looking... I'll know it... when I find THE one though...
Completion description
Well... I finally found something that has grabbed my attention! It's not a painting... something i truly wanted... but it's a photo that has been transformed into a poster... and it has just captivated me! I stood there looking at it in the gallery for like 10 minutes... just looking... reading... and smiling... finally the girl came out from behind the counter and asked if I was ok???? LOLOLOLOL... I just laughed and said that I'd take it! It's pretty simple and powerful all at the same time... A photo of a raging white watered river... huge river... with falls and greenery abound... deep blue skies with overwhelming clouds and at it's center... a brilliant rainbow overlooking one of the falls... just awe-inspiring!!!
And the caption below reads... "The real voyage of discovery lies not in seeking new landscapes... but in having new eyes!"... That was written by French writer Marcel Proust... and isn't it just fuckin' awesome! Look upon things... events... situations... with a new point of view... and a whole new world will open up to you!!!! Fucking brilliant!!!! Anyway... for now... this seems to be the one thing I will hang upon my walls... I'm giving it a few weeks first... just to make sure the inspiration is not short lived... but permanent! But for now... I feel that this mission... this goal... has been accomplished... so check this muthafucka off please... LoL
