Take a last minute city break

Have you ever felt like a change of scenery? Of course you have, so why don't you do something about it? Living in the UK we are lucky to have a wealth of culture and history on our doorstep, both in our country and in Europe, so there is no shortage of places to visit. In Britain it is easy to travel by train or coach to our big cities such as London, Edinburgh, or Manchester, and equally as easy to visit smaller historical towns such as Bath, Shrewsbury, or Stratford. It is also just as easy to hop onto a flight to visit a great European city such as Barcelona, Milan, or Stockholm.
Taking a short break doesn't have to be expensive either. By booking a trip at the last minute or by booking your transport and accommodation separately you can get away for less than you may think. This goal is number 18 in the 50 Suggestions
