The aim of My50 is to encourage
people to break from the monotony of everyday life
and start living life to the full.
Life is short, and we spend too much of it doing
things we do not want to do, shackled to our jobs
and daily chores. The free time we do have,
we sometimes don't spend wisely. Ask yourself
- what have you ever promised yourself you would
do, or wished you could try? When you were young,
what did you want to do "when you were older",
and more importantly, are you doing them?
Create your list
My50 is a free site that encourages you to
make a list of the things that you would like to do
in your lifetime. The goals that you may wish
to add to your list may include both life ambitions
such as "Make a parachute jump" or "Test
drive a Ferrari". Other goals you may wish to
add to your list may include more day-to-day tasks
such as "tidy the garage" or New Year's
resolutions such as "quit smoking" or "lose
Add your goals
My50 allows you to create an online list of things
to do, and allows you to add descriptions, pictures
and deadlines for each goal you set for yourself.
Goal deadlines can be set as a specified date, or
as a birthday, and are displayed on your list as 'Time
When you complete a goal it is moved to your list of achievements.
You can also add past achievements to this list to allow you to build
up a list of things you have achieved in your lifetime, alongside your
list of things you would still like to do in your lifetime.
Get some suggestions
You can read our 50 Suggestions
of things to do in your lifetime and add then add
them to your own list. These suggestions are taken from the
Ideas section that contains hundreds
of ideas of things to do in 9 categories such as
'Activities and Sport'
, 'Flying and Driving'
, and 'Getting Back to Nature.
Find places you've visited or would like to visit, add them to your list from the
'Places to Visit' section, and they
will appear on your own interactive world map.
You may also wish to read other people's lists of
things they would like to achieve in their lifetime
by visiting the Read Lists
section. In this section you can search all
of the lists that have been made 'Public' by
the owner of that list - and don't worry, your list
will be 'Private' by default and will not be
readable in this section unless you choose to make
your list 'Public' at a later date!
